Mike Prender is the original lead singer of the Searchers, it is his voice that appears on all but two of the Searchers' hits that can still be heard on the radio today. More than that, the distinctive guitar sound that is The Searchers sound is that of Mike Penders' 12 string Rickenbacker. He still has, and plays that very guitar today.

It was in the early 80’s that Mike branched out on his own to continue playing the hits that everyone knew and loved, while the Searchers sought to release new material that never quite lived up to the hits of the 60’s.

Today anyone wanting to hear those great hit records know that it is only Mike Pender who can truly recreate them as he did on the original vinyl.
