Ian Keable combines sleight of hand with sleight of mind. Hilariously funny one moment with his dry wit and audience participation, and completely baffling the next.
Ian has been a full-time professional entertainer for 10 years, after giving up his career as an Accountant. Having honed his comedic skills in the Comedy Clubs (including Jongleurs and The Comedy Store) and his magic and mind reading abilities as a member of the Inner Magic Circle, he now performs primarily at corporate and similar functions.
He has worked both abroad and in the UK and in various venues varying from vast function rooms in hotels to the most intimate restaurant. He has made a number of television appearances.
Ian performs feats of mind-reading that have you worrying how he did his amazing feats long after you have stopped laughing. Cards merely thought of appear in sealed envelopes; one word chosen from an entire newspaper is correctly predicted; the hands on a spectator’s watch moves to a selected time. But this is merely the appetiser.
He then permits two members of his audience to try their own hand at the psychic guessing game - using their own money and a box of matches. Their abilities are less successful and what follows is one of the funniest pieces of comedy you are likely to witness: suffice to say that everybody watching is convinced that somehow Ian has hypnotised his volunteers into behaving so hilariously. So much so that Ian is often accused of using stooges.
